When we decided last September to get married at The North Woods Inn, we never realized how easy the owners (Diane and Jim) and staff would make the planning. My mother and I met with Diane first and her relaxed nature really helped you feel comfortable with what was to come. When Chef Dave had our tasting we were truly amazed at the caliber of food that was put before us. Still thinking of those crab rangoons!!!

Diane helped us find our DJ who we loved (Deejay network)!!! The tent company (Clifton Park Tent) and even the hairdresser (Linda at Park Avenue). She was there for all the little questions you have and always had a calming tone telling you all will be ok. Chef Dave did a fantastic job where every one of our guests were saying how great the food was from the prime rib to the salmon to the chicken with pasta. The beautiful set-up of the arbor made the views of the ceremony perfect, water below mountains above. We requested a signature drink during cocktail hour and I must say that Bryan the bartender made the BEST MOJITOS!!!! They were perfect!!! We cannot forget to mention Benson who was so on point with our guests as well. We took over The North Woods and all the staff started to know everyone's first name. Truly impressive since I know that the week before and the week following there were more weddings and we knew they would be able to provide that same service they provided us.

The tavern even stayed open late for us on Sunday night so we could order off the regular menu and there were only 8 of us! Whenever we went back to the rooms the staff had already been to clean up and give us fresh towels. They always say the best businesses start with the top and it trickles down.

Diane and Jim are terrific "Inn" owners and their love and passion for providing impeccable service shows by the staff around them. We love the Karaoke on Friday and Saturday night so our guests were able to have fun in the bar. Where yet another North Woods employee Vicky would help get the party started and sang a few fun songs (thank you!). They even provided us with a HUGE bonfire after the wedding reception that was a lot of fun! The views, the food, the service, and the welcoming, will have us visiting all year round!!!

This is the perfect place for a really relaxing getaway in the Adirondacks!

The staff are really friendly! The bar crowd are a lot of fun and the karaoke singers are awesome. The locals definitely make this place and I couldn't believe how talented some of them are!

Beautiful, lush scenery with that classic American look, in a comfortable and serene setting. Its somewhat low-key and not fancy in any way, but thats exactly its appeal to me. Great views of the lake and convenient boat docks. I love getting up early to sit on the deck with coffee to watch the mist rise off the lake.

Jet skis are available to rent. Lots of parking. Located well off the main road so no noise or the feeling that we're in a touristy area.

The food was really, really good, too. Much better than the food at most weddings that I 've been to. Lots of variety, even for my assistant, who's a vegetarian!

Just make sure to bring mosquito repellant!

We just returned home to Huntington, Long Island. We loved your place and cannot wait to return The whole set up with the dining area and Tap Room made it easy for us, our friends and all of the kids to enjoy New Year's Eve. Cozy rooms. The food and serving people were excellent and pricing very reasonable. We rented snowmobiles at Clark's in Inlet. It was just a great winter vacation!!! !

I took my boyfriend there back in June (the 5-7) for his birthday weekend and we just had a blast!! Just sitting outside the bar gazing at that gorgeous full moon was just heavenly!! We couldn't have asked for a better room, ambiance and the karaoke was super fun to watch and listen to also!!!!

I must say we found our new favorite place to stay. We have been going to Old Forge for his past 3 birthdays (staying at different places each time) and have decided that staying at your inn will become part of our tradition!!!

I got married at the Northwoods Inn in June and it was the wedding of my dreams! Diane and Jim (the owners) worked with us throughout the entire planning process to ensure our day went smoothly and it did! Our families traveled from far and we booked every room at the resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable and everyone said they would definitely come back. The location and views of Fourth Lake are breathtaking. The food is OUTSTANDING! The Tap Room is very entertaining and all of our guests had a wonderful time all weekend. Jim and Diane are very detail oriented and make sure every guest is happy and taken care of. I can't wait to take anniversary trips there with my husband!

We stayed at Northwoods in July when our daughter held her reception at the inn. Guests came from all parts of the United States-for many this was their first time in the Adirondacks. To a person, they have all raved about their experience at Northwoods and it has inspired them to return to the area. Everything for that weekend was PERFECT! Our every need was not only met but predicted. The food was fabulous...not only at the reception ( a sit-down dinner) but also the restaurant and tap room. The rooms were clean and carried out the Adirondack theme very well. We had a lake front room with a breathtaking view. As a family we have frequented the area and will make a point to visit Northwoods Inn everytime we are in the area. I would highly recommend staying at this family friendly resort.

Northwoods is where our son and (now) wife picked for their wedding dinner/dance and where most people stayed. Everyone had a fantastic time. Diane (owner) is absolutely the best. Never have we had someone go to such great lengths to make sure we all were happy. What a hard-working woman. And she helped out with the wedding planning, made very helpful suggestions, helped making sure details were done/taken care of...what didn't she do?!!! I wanted to take a minute to thank you for your extraordinary service during our vacation. We were scheduled to stay at your hotel from July 7th & 8th, but the booking was mis-dated. We were very concerned when we arrived due to the volume in the area, and our other family members already being at their hotels. After a brief review, you went out of your way to accommodate us and to ensure that our vacation ended up a enjoyable experience.

Just a quick note to let everyone know that all is well. Sitting on my porch I began reflecting on this past winter, and needed to send this email . Sue and I enjoyed ourselves more than words can explain. Your place,all staff and Jim & Diane were and are a breath of fresh air in this completely scrambled world we live in. Normally I hate winter, now I long for snow so we can come and play again. Well that's enough for now. Hope all is well and hope to hear from you soon.

Dear Jim & Diane, Thanks for everything the two of you did to make our meeting at North Woods Inn such a tremendous success. Everyone had a great time. Each day started with a fabulous breakfast and each evening turned out to be more fun than the night before. This was our second experience staying at North Woods Inn and we couldn't have been happier. It's a quiet, relaxed atmosphere - not fussy or pretentious - very Adirondack in all respects. The view of 4th Lake is spectacular and most rooms have a great view. North Woods Inn's website has a great guide to selecting a room and shows every rooms' location relative to the lake. We've eaten at the restaurant on the premises both years and it is very good. The dock and the firepit are perhaps two of the reasons we keep coming back. Even while there are many people at the inn, we often find ourselves the only ones on their massive dock either fishing, swimming, or just reading. North Woods Inn has canoes that guests can use and there is even jet ski rental there this year. The firepit is also great. You can make your own campfire whenever you want - North Woods Inn supplies tons of wood - and if you have ever been camping you know how important this is! I highly recommend staying at North Woods Inn - but if you can't stand seeing the occasional spider, are terrified of black bears, or cannot sleep when it is too quiet, then perhaps you should stay in the city!

Breakfast and Dinner are the two meals we have had at the hotel over the last several months. Breakfast is great, weekday and weekends alike. The buffet is outstanding and the food it excellent, fresh and plentiful. The best part of waking up is the NWI breakfast and great coffee.

Dinner is a pleasure you need to experience. The featured selection of New York State Wines, some that rival those of Europe, only adds to the pleasure of dining at the hotel. Chef Derrick and his staff are eager to serve you and make every trip there a wonderful dining experience. For food that melts in your mouth with all the wonderful pleasure of fine dining, don't walk but run to have some great meals at the North Woods.

They also have a Tavern, where they serve lunch and lighter dinners. We eat there too, and the food is great. Chef Dave is drumming up new winter dishes that are excellent too. Chili and Beef stew in a freshly made bread bowl. Both meals were outstanding too.

When I visit my Adirondack home I mark the North Woods Inn as number one on the list for places to go.

And as if great food were not good enough they have Live entertainment that everyone loves. The big Sexy Shawn Smith, and Mike Notley. Fun is not even the name for a night at the North Woods. You can bring your kids and enjoy a great night of good food and fun entertainment. You must go there.

What is a real surprise here is just beyond the large but cozy lobby is fine dining. This elegant restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. The Salmon dish is worth the trip alone. Large windows overlook the lake and are elegantly lit in the evening for a true romantic setting.

Being the guy who recommended Site Seker inc for our off site retreat. I personally could not be more pleased. Without exception, each and every attendee expressed their satisfaction with our choice. During our 2 days we were there, attention to detail in planning was evident and resulted in an outstanding event.
